“Our task is to find compromises and respond to requests in the right way”, Rostyslav Melnyk
Rostyslav Melnyk, CEO of the Real Estate Corporation, explained the legal aspects of the situation around the construction of Solomianskyi Landscape Park in the capital in an interview with the business portal Liga.
“If we want to live in a legal and democratic country, we have to defend our rights through peaceful negotiations or law enforcement. And in Kyiv, there is a culture that every citizen who does not like the neighboring construction believes that he or she can block and interfere with work,” said Rostyslav Melnyk. “I myself have repeatedly met with people who considered the construction illegal. We have all the urban planning documentation.”
He also emphasized: “Any issues can be resolved, as we live in a democratic country where people have their rights and businesses have theirs. It is normal that someone may not like what I do – our task is to find compromises and respond to requests in the right way.”
As it became known during the interview, Real Estate Corporation RIEL plans to invest in the reconstruction project of Solomianskyi Landscape Park together with the city and the community.
